Tuesday is Treyday

One thing I love about Trey is how happy he is while playing. He always has an intoxicating smile on his face, which makes this phan very very happy. One of the most fun happy songs Phish plays is 'Ya Mar', and in this version from the Clifford Ball Trey is super cute and his solo, at the 4:55 mark, is just beautiful.  Hope this brightens up your Tuesday!

A recent boredom induced flip to Fuse's 'Sexiest Britney Spears Video Countdown' lead me to think of how I am a child of the 90's, and all those iconic music moments that defined my middle school dances. Mariah, obviously was the first person that came to mind, and her first television debut on The Arensio Hall Show circa 1990, is EPIC! Enjoy!

Sunday was the third Father's Day in a row where Phish played "Brother". My favorite part about it is during the jam they have all the Phish babies come out and pile into a bathtub together. I love this song, and I love how they have integrated their children year after year. I have been trying to find video from Sunday, but it seems it has not been put online yet...so here is a video from last years show! Enjoy! I was just turned on to this amazing NYC based band, The Dirty Urchins. They are an incredible blend of blues, folk rock and indie all in one. Really beautiful music. Their CD "Late As Usual" is available on iTunes, and I suggest everyone to give them a listen.

vegan food for the non-vegan

'doomies', west hollywood, "pulled pork" sandwich and fries.

i have always been one of those people who just didn't understand vegans. i loved food too much to be a vegan! there was just too much good stuff i would miss out on! boy was i wrong! obviously living in los angeles has its benefits, with its plethora of vegan fare. yesterday, i was lucking enough to try out doomie's in west hollywood. this place is incredible for the vegan who wants to splurge on junk food! i had the incredible "pulled pork" sandwich (pictured above). and my lucky accomplice, "weekend kim" had the fried chicken entree. (below)

i must say she was very excited to have fried chicken for the first time in years.

i would tell any vegan or non-vegan to try out doomie's home cookin...pretty, pretttty goood.
